Unit Services
This unit offers care for critically ill patients with general medical and surgical problems.
Unit Staff
A team of highly specialised and qualified senior doctors as well as those gaining experience and qualifications in Intensive Care Medicine manage patients in the unit.
A team of highly specialised and qualified senior nurses as well as those gaining experience and qualifications in Intensive Care Nursing manage patients in the unit. A senior Registered Nurse is in charge of each shift (Team Leader).
Unit staffing is also complimented by other health professionals from the disciplines of physiotherapy, pharmacy, social work, dietetics, occupational therapy and chaplaincy. Consultation with these team members can be arranged by the nursing staff.
Other Hospital Services
Gift Shop, Kiosk and ATMs are all located within the hospital. Westfield shopping centre is located in nearby Blacktown in close proximity to the railway station.
