The Intensive Care Implementation Group (ICIG), convened by ministerial appointment, was given the task of making recommendations for intensive care services across NSW. This expert group was established in April 2000 to facilitate the implementation of the Health Council recommendations and to continue to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the NSW Health Department's Intensive Care Strategic Directions.
